This is a website for a organization called Move to End Violence.
The home page is quite straight forward since the majority of the space is dedicated to several videos, which are organized in a streamline way.
And using the sidebar on the left, you can easily navigate between each page. And you can also read the organization’s latest blog. Overall, I think this site is quite easy to navigate.
Video and photo are to means that are heavily used here. On the first pages, there is a list of video featuring the speech of movement organizer and participants. Apart from the video on the home page, there are pages dedicated to photos that were taken during each peace event.
I think the website is mostly for people who love peace and are interested in knowing more about the organization. And another main purpose is to recruit new members. And I do think that influences the content. The website focuses too much on how the participants and how those events look, but neglect any negative aspects related to violence. Such as how bad it is? Or why they want to fight violence? I feel like the most important and the most powerful aspects are missing.
In terms of ongoing issues, I guess the section in the sidebar that updates readers of lasted blog posts is helpful. The organization try to inform people of the lasted by engage them in their blog posts. And there is also twitter to follow for the latest information.
